This season, multiple big-name starting pitcher prospects have made immediate impacts on their teams, such as Nolan McLean and Bubba Chandler. Cam Schlittler has been one of the most impactful rookie pitchers this season.

On July 9th, the Yankees called him up from Triple-A, and in 9 major league starts, he's posted a 2.61 ERA (Earned Run Average) and a 3.87 FIP (Fielding Independent Pitching). He has a 10.06 K/9 along with an average fastball velocity of 97.4 MPH. Opponents against his Four-Seam Fastball, which he throws 57% of the time, have hit .191 against it, posting a +6 run value. Along with that, his Cutter, which is his second most used pitch at 20%, has 5.5 more inches of horizontal break than the average.
Schlittler has been an excellent pitcher for the Yankees this season and will remain an important pitcher come playoff time.
